Notes About the Contest

I'll have you know, I made sure to read every word of every description and envision every design as a 3d physical room guardian. It was so much fun to read your interpretations of a morgul wolf society. It gave me many ideas myself and I'm so excited that I gave many of you in the middle of an art block a reason to create. There was such a wonderful range of inspiration, from video games, birds, candy, cultures, to even tablecloths, I am so impressed with your creativity... seriously. Many of your stories had common themes and a few of your design stories were eerily similar, as if this character was speaking to multiple people to be trans

(yes his tail in the picture was photoshopped, he can't stand without it)
This guy has a sodalite heart and a plastic ball and socket neck. His "ponytails" were made from brushed out yarn. I really enjoyed this design so much. I am really happy with how he translated into a room guardian.

Winning Design:
mongrel wolf design 2 by moodymod

Room Guardians are small creatures that protect one's home from negative spirits and energies. These friends can be easily placed on window sills, kitchen shelves, dressers, or wherever to keep watch over the room. Each guardian has a soft faux fur coat and each is individually sculpted from the wire frame to the clay face and hands, so no two are alike. The room guardians' arms, tails, and necks are bendable and Inside each of their chests is a unique crystal heart to give each one a different energy. These little guys have a lot of character and they love having a home to watch over.

 1. How did you come up with the room guardian concept?
The idea caught fire when a friend and I were walking through an antique store. On one of the bookshelves sat two stuffed foxes wearing riding clothes. I contemplated buying them because one could convince themselves that their expressionless stares were actually seeing and watching over the room. It was as if they were alive though they were a long way from being realistic. My contemplation came to an end when I realized I could spend less money and have a better one if I just made it myself. That is where
