Sorry I haven't kept you up to date on this, but for the past few months, I have been working on these masks along side my commissions. Akon is just around the corner and these are my babies that I'm going to show off!
Characters are based on the characters from Studio Ghibli's "The Cat Returns"
From left to right: The baron, Yuki, and Prince Lune.
This was my first time to take on the task of making resin blanks for a mask with moving jaws. Thank you
for the awesome tutorial.
Everything you see on these cats was made from scratch (no pun intended
) I sculpted the base and molded it myself. Running into my own set of challenges with each step. I sculpted and cast the teeth with resin. The eyes were hand panted and set in meltable clear plastic. The whiskers were stretched out by hand from instamorph plastic, and all the fur is hand sewn. All in all, I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I decided to make three masks, but I am super happy with them and finished them just in time!
Please no inquiries about mask or fursuit commissions! As of now, this is just a personal hobby on the side
